Diploma Graduates Celebrate National Success

Graduates from the ‘Class of 2023 and 2024’ recently celebrated completing the National Diploma of Practice Management Aboriginal Medical Services (DPMAMS) at a ceremony in Sydney.

With over 120 graduates to date, the National DPMAMS is a unique, customised training program for Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) and Aboriginal Health Training Facilities (AHTF) personnel and is delivered by TAFE NSW in partnership with JCTS.

The course has been developed to meet the needs of administrative and healthcare professionals in the ACCHS sector in areas of practice management, operations and business management, and governance knowledge, offering administrative and health professionals the opportunity to gain a formal nationally recognised qualification.

During the graduation ceremony, Karl Briscoe, CEO of National Association of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Practitioners (NAATSIHWP), and a past graduate of the DPMAMS course, joined the evening as a keynote speaker and shared his heartfelt sentiments with guests.

We would like to wish the graduating classes all the very best with their future endeavours and further professional development. We hope to see you in roles such as CEOs, Practice Managers, Executive and Senior Managers in the ACCHS sector in the near future.

If you work for an AMS or ACCHS and are interested in enrolling in the next intake of the DPMAMS course, expressions of interest will be open soon.
