About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll lead a regional team to deliver and promote the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training strategy. Success in this role relies on strong collaboration with cultural and medical educators, senior managers, RACGP, and ACCRM to develop programs that enhance cultural awareness and safety in GP training.

About the role
Reporting to the Regional Manager WA, the Senior Cultural Educator will develop and lead a coordinated cultural framework for the region that delivers on the key priority outcomes of the strategic plan and supports the GP training program in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health.
As the Senior Cultural Educator, you will lead and manage a team of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Educators and work closely with Medical Educators to develop and deliver Cultural Awareness and Safety Training to registrars and supervisors.. This is an important role leading and developing strong working relationships with our WA JCTS team and the community.
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

This role reports to the Operations Manager and provides high-level administrative and secretariat support to ensure the effective functioning of the Operations portfolio and the broader JCTS team. The position plays a key role in coordinating meetings, projects, and systems while supporting operational governance, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.

Roles with JCTS
Cultural Educator
Cultural Educators are identified positions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only who play an important role in raising and promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness and cultural safety in GP Training. They work as a member of a cohesive and collaborative team and provide region wide support. They ensure a coordinated approach for the training of GP registrars in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, by implementing key priority areas and strategies that support GP registrar training.
Medical Educator
Medical Educators work within their local training region to develop, deliver and evaluate cultural education programs for GP Registrars and provide support to GP Supervisors. Medical Educators are required to provide advice to GP Registrars about their specialist training with the relevant ACRRM/RACGP College with learning planning, education, training and assessment requirements and curricula.
Program Coordinator
Program Coordinators are responsible for the management and delivery of JCTS program within the region. Program Coordinators work closely and collaboratively with the regional JCTS team, the GP Training program’s operations team, medical educators and registrars, supervisors and practices in the region, and the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services.
Administration Officer
Administration Officers provide a range of administrative tasks and procedures that underpin the successful delivery of programs and activities of the regional JCTS team.
